Travel & Health Documents
|
|
|
A Canadian citizen must be in possession of a passport that will be valid for a minimum of 6 months from the conclusion of their journey. Tour participants must also ensure that they comply with all visa and health requirements of countries they intend to visit. Kindly contact the embassy of the country which you intend to visit for information for these requirements. Any inoculations required must be recorded on a valid inoculation certificate and in your possession for inspection at customs/immigration if requested.

Reservation & Deposit
|
|
|
Early reservations are recommended as all services are on a request basis, both for air travel and land requirements. A non-refundable deposit of $300.00 per person is required at time of booking to confirm your request for any departure. Full and final payment is required no later than 60 days prior to first service being provided. It is not incumbent on China Connection to remind you of the final payment due date and failure to remit any amount owing may result in cancellation of your reservation and forfeiture of any deposits paid.

Credit Card Payments
|
|
|
Visa and Master Card are accepted for most services as payment. Cardholder signature authorizing payment and amount must be submitted to China Connection prior to any documentation being released to you.

|
 |
Refunds, Changes & Cancellations
|
|
|
- Up to 60 days prior $300.00 non refundable per person.
- 45 to 59 days prior $500.00 non refundable per person.
- 30 to 44 days prior $800.00 non refundable per person.
- 15 to 29 days prior $1,000.00 non refundable per person.
- 14 to 0 days to departure 100% non refundable. Changes to itinerary are subject to a $25.00 fee per change.
- Cancellation charges also apply to additional accommodations reserved prior to and after the tour.
- No refunds will be made for any unused portion including hotels, sightseeing, cruises, transfers, meals, international or domestic flights unless missed by the supplier.
*Plus any unrecoverable deposits paid to airlines or suppliers. If flight changes are requested or if flights are cancelled after tickets are issued, change fee or airline cancellation charges will be applicable in accordance with the carriers policy. If an air-inclusive tour is cancelled after air tickets have been issued, refunds will be processed after return of air tickets.

Tour Insurance
|
|
|
To protect yourself against cancellation charges, we highly recommend the purchase of adequate Cancellation, Health or Comprehensive insurance which must be purchased at time of initial deposit. If you have coverage through your credit card company, it is important to confirm whether or not they cover cancellation penalties. If China Connection does not receive payment for the insurance at the time of booking, it will be assumed that you have declined coverage.

Notice to Travelers
|
|
|
Please note that living standards and practices as well as standards and conditions with respect to the provision of utilities, sanitary services, the grading of accommodation and dress may differ from Canadian standard. Your understanding is appreciated. Although China Connection will be happy to assist you with any shopping needs, but will not be responsible for price, quality, and service of any goods purchased during the tour.

Final Documents
|
|
|
Final documentation will be sent to you two weeks prior to departure along with full payment and credit card authorization had been received at China Connection. The documents will contain hotel, transfer and tour vouchers, airline tickets if applicable, destination information and itinerary.

|

Accommodations
|
|
|
Deluxe, Superior, First Class or best available in remote areas with private washroom. All hotel taxes, service charges and government taxes are included in the prepaid tour price. Accommodations included is always based on 2 persons sharing a twin or double room/cabin. Single room supplements apply to all persons requesting a room/cabin for single occupancy. Requests for upgrading rooms are subject to additional charges. Where available, handicapped or non smoking rooms are always on a request basis but not subject to additional costs. The right is reserved by the supplier to substitute hotels/cruise line when necessary from those listed in the brochure of final tour documents for reasons of our/their own high standards, for client comfort and for any reasons beyond our/their control.

Included in Tour Costs
|
|
|
All tours list what is included and excluded from the programs. Clients have the option of purchasing the tour exclusive of any international flights. Cost of any tour DOES NOT include any applicable prepaid airport departure taxes, passport or visa charges.

Customized Itineraries
|
|
|
Any tour program booked that is not listed in our tour brochure/flyer nor has alterations/deviations to the itinerary is hereby referred to as a "customized" itinerary and is subject to all tour terms and conditions as listed on this page.

|

Important Notice
|
|
|
China Connection and its suppliers reserve the right to accept or decline any tour member should it be determined that the participant's health, mental or emotional condition or physical needs impedes with the smooth operation of the tour or the rights, welfare or enjoyment of the other tour members. The refund of the unused land tour services is limited to China Connection liability when these rights are exercised.

Prices Listed
|
|
|
All rates in the brochure or on a customized itinerary include planning, communication, handling and operational charges and are quoted at the current rate of exchange and tariffs. In the event of a marked increase in airfares and foreign currency exchange or tariff rates, costs are subject to revision.

Responsibility
|
|
|
China Connection purchases transportation, hotel accommodation, tour and cruise passage, restaurant and other services from various different suppliers who are not affiliated with China Connection in any way. All vouchers, coupons or receipts issued by China Connection are issued subject to all tariffs, terms and conditions under which all transportation, including airlines, coach, limousine companies, hotels, tour and cruise operators restaurants and other service are contracted. Participants agree not to hold China Connection responsible for any loss, injury or damage to any person, property or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation or resulting from and Acts of God, dangers, incident at sea fires, breakdowns in machinery or equipment, act of governments or authorities, de hure or de facto, wars declared or not, hostilities, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferage, epidemics, quarantines, medical or customs regulations, defaults, delays, cancellations or any causes beyond China Connection control for any loss or damage resulting from improperly issued visas or other documents, and that China Connection or its staff will not be responsible for any additional expenses or liability sustained for or incurred by the tour participant as a result of any of the forgoing clauses. The payment for reservation on a brochure tour or customized itinerary shall constitute consent to all provisions in the term & conditions lit published herein. China Connection accepts no responsibility for value, reliability quality or authenticity of any goods purchased while on tour or for any mailing, freight or shipping arrangements.
China Connection reserves the right to cancel the tour prior to departure for any reason. Liability for such cancellation is limited to full refund of money received by China Connection and this will constitute full settlement with the tour member.

Airline Clause
|
|
|
The airline[s] concerned is not to be held responsible for any act, omissions or event during the time passengers are not on board their aircraft. The passenger tickets in use by the airline, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airline and the passenger.
