It was wonderful to experience Beijing. We only had 5 in our group and Jessica, our tour guide was incredible….she went beyond the call of duty. As you well know, there is so much history; starting from the Forbidden City to the Great Wall. I took lots of pictures and will share them with you once I have created a slide show. I wanted to purchase a traditional jacket and Jessica made arrangements to have a tailor come to the hotel and we were all fitted for something…..my jacket is beyond words and will be cherished.
I hope I have an opportunity to travel back again as there is still so much to see.
Thank you very much for all of the information that you provided and connecting us with Jessica!

Whew… the trip is finally done! Thank you for making all the arrangements for Peter and I! I though a small review with you can be a good reference…
BEIJING – Hotel was very good, located conveniently to subway, shops and stuff. Restaurant quality was good, room was nice, big and clean, just the bathroom could have a better shower. There was a plastic flexible shower head which was a bit out of place comparing with the rest. Peter and I had a great time shopping here!
XI’AN – the best time used with tour. Local guy WU was excellent. Although it was a mere single day tour, but he wasted no time in introducing the place to us. We had the Penthouse level for Hotel room, and it was very enjoyable.
TIBET – a very different place from all my previous travel. Our guide Champa and driver Nanjie were both very nice and looked after us well. However, we felt 3 days in Lhasa was a bit long. Since neither of us were familiar with Buddhism, despite the full introduction from Champa, it simply got very boring after the 4th Monastery visited. We also had a challenge dealing with the incense, candle, smoke, etc.. Trip to Gyangtse was definitely so breath taking! We really enjoyed the sceneries along the drive. Shigatse can be skipped totally, there was not much to see but another monastery. Hotel was good in Lhasa (Four Points Sheraton), but the other two were very substandard. We did understand that they were the best available and the cities were not as modern at all. I would like to suggest a trip of 4 days total would be more appropriate, unless for someone who is¸ really into the religion. 1 day to rest/conditioning, 2 days in Lhasa and 1 day in Gyangtse would be good for the average traveler.
Again, thank you very much for your arrangements and I will sure send my friends to you in the future!

Tour: Customized Beijing and Shanghai tour, May 27, 2011 |
|
|
Yes, we got back a couple of weeks ago. The tour was very good! The guides were very fluent in english.
One thing that we were slightly disappointed in was The Great Wall tour in Beijing. As per the itinerary, we were supposed to go to Badaling, however at the last moment the driver said that there was too much traffic and brought us to Ju Yong instead. It was still beautiful, however it was not what we had expected based on the pictures of our family and friends who have been there.
Other than that, everything was excellent. The hotels were amazing in location and quality. The food was very good.
Thanks again for everything!

Dear Irene,
Thanks for your feedback below! First of all, I am glad that you had a good time in Beijing and Shanghai! I am so happy that you enjoyed everything we arranged for you!I asked our local partner to checked with the local guide Kelly and driver yesterday, as well as some other guides who had the Great Wall tours on the day or the day before and after. Yes, it is true that there was an one-week road repair between Juyongguan and Badaling section starting from May 26th to Jun 02. Too bad that our operations didn't receive any notice from the authorities, so they were not aware of this in advance and we were not informed accordingly. Per the guides, traffic is OK during the week days on the Badaling Highway, but it could get worse during weekends! May 29 is a Sunday.Per Kelly, she and the driver didn't know the road repair, but when they drove to Nankou on highway, they came across the traffic with a long queue. Then, the driver opened the radio and realized that there was a bad traffic ahead due to the road repair. Therefore, they suggested to go to Juyongguan section instead to you.Thank you for taking this issue to our attention so that we can check with local authorities more often and inform clients well in advance.
Sincerely,
Heather Bai

Good morning Heather:
I’m still jet lagged, but thought I would write to tell you how much Klaus and I enjoyed the trip to China. It truly was a trip of a lifetime. Everything we saw was just what I had imagined and more. We even went to an Open Air Opera on a lake (I can’t remember the name of the town, but it was at the end of the one way trip on the River Li from Guilin). Then we took the boat back to Guilin. What an enchanting experience.
I also had my picture taken with one of the famous cormorants – that was quite exciting for me. I couldn’t believe that I was holding one and that it would allow me to stroke its chest.
I can honestly say that China was a unique, lifetime experience and that the plans you made were excellent and more than met with our expectations.

Tour: IndoChina Explorer, February 19, 2011 |

The trip to Vietnam and Cambodia was fabulous and so very interesting. We only wish we had a little more time so that we could have added Laos as well. All the hotels were great, many facing the water with fabulous views but the most relaxing was Hoi An Riverside with the serene river within toe reach of our room and the ancient town nearby. The Angkor temples were remarkable and the guide's level of knowledge transformed us back in time. He also ensured that we visited certain temples at certain times to avoid the crowds and for optimum picture taking. All the guides and drivers were professional, courteous, helpful and informative though some were quite exceptional.
Thanks again for all your hard work with all the additional changes for our third tour with you. We will certainly be using your services again as we want to return to China as there is still so much more to see there.

Dear Heather,
We apologize for not sending you this thank you email sooner.
My wife and I had a wonderful time in Vietnam, Cambodia & Laos. All the transfers and travel arrangements were on time and the accommodation in each location was excellent.
We really got a good sense of the culture of Vietnam, Cambodia & Laos. It was all because of the very high quality of the guides that you arranged for us. Each of them had a different background and their own styles, which we enjoyed very much. As different as they were, however, they were all very personable, skilled & knowledgeable and best of all, they were all flexible when it came to their local itineraries. They changed the order of seeing things to make sure that the weather and the traffic would be best for us.
The driver service was also very good. All the vehicles were clean & air-conditioned. The drivers were friendly and helpful. They always had a smile on their faces.
I would recommend you and your company to anyone and everyone.
Thank you once again.

Tour: S0007 Japan TABI special 14 days, November 6, 2010 |
|
|
Thank you Heather for arranging this 14 days Japan tour for us, and in summary our trip was "superb" and our experiences through out the tour was very efficient, clean and people are very friendly always go out of their way to assist us. The JR pass was the best deal ever as we have many options to take us from east of Japan to the utmost west end of Japan. Total we have covered via trains, subway, fairy, monorails and most train rides we were able to reserve seats which enable us to find our track, gate, seats and compartments so much easier. All JR office staff in all stations that we visited are very knowledgeable and extremely efficient. With the 14 days, we were able to covered Tokyo, Yokohama, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Kanazawa, Takayama, Nagasaki, Mount Fuji- Kakone & Nara.
The 14 days Japan is definitely worth it and we surely have enjoyed a lot. I would highly recommend the 14 days tour instead of 1 week as there is a lot to see in Japan and each town has its own unique features which I will not want to miss or omit any of the places above.

Harvey and I want to thank you for all the arrangements that you made to make our trip so terrific. China is an incredible country. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed every place we visited. The hotels in Beijing and Shanghai were especially wonderful and very convenient. The tour guides were always at the airport to meet us and were very attentive to us. We enjoyed the itinerary very much.
Thank you again and if we make any future trips, we would certainly want to speak with you.

Tour: Deluxe Jewish Heritage tour CD13JH, October 6, 2010 |
|
|
It was an excellent, well organized trip.
All the pick-ups at the airport, the hotel and the touring went smoothly. If we requested a switch in the schedule (i.e. changing Saturday events to Sunday in Shanghai or a trip to a rice farm in Xian), the tour guides were very obliging. I would highly recommend the trip to anyone interested in Jewish Heritage.
My wife thought the trip to Harbin was excellent but I suspect few people go there. The Harbin guide added activities such as the ice sculpture palace etc. All the places were very interesting.
Great experience! Well satisfied!

We are all back, safe & sound.
Heather, I would like to take this opportunity to express our thanks to you for planning and arranging our trip to China. We were most impressed with the way the entire trip unfolded. We were met at each & every Train station or Airport, the transfers to & from airports / hotels were as scheduled, and pleasant. The tours were quite complicated and yet worked out without a hitch. The overnight train rides as well as the camel rides were quite an experience & added a different flavour to the entire trip.
Thanks for making our trip an exciting experience and adventure for us. We really appreciate all your efforts.

Thank you Heather, we got back Sunday night and was back to work the very next morning...
The tour was excellent... so also the tour guides - very professional, speaks good English and very knowledgeable.
Beijing - we had the guy called SNOW and he helped us a lot. Martin was sick and he took us to the hospital (walked in) on his own time. He also arranged to visit the Bird's Nest and we got to go inside the stadium.
Xian - girl guide called Miranda. She is still new on the job but tried very hard to pleased all of us. She is very pretty, her English is also very good.
We like the dumplings dinner and the shows
Shanghai - girl guide called Jo Jo - she is much more experience and also speak fluent English and knows her job very well. Shanghai is an modern town like Toronto but with much more people.
We are also very happy with our breakfast in all three hotels which makes a big differences.
In future, we will refer you our friends and relative if they need any travel or tour... Thank you again.

Ni Hao Heather,
Where shall I start! This trip was absolutely fantastic. Every thing went smoothly. Our guides were brilliant – especially Adam Weaver in Beijing. Nothing was ever any trouble. The guides were very accommodating, full of local knowledge and fun to be with. Very efficient and extremely professional. We met fantastic people who toured with us, from the USA, Canada, Portugal and other Australians. I cannot begin to thank you enough for helping us to organize this trip. This was a gift for my wife to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and our 14 year old son came along with us. It was everything and more than we expected.
We look forward to traveling again next year with an organized tour. Maybe Japan and hopefully you can help us again and this time our 18 year old daughter will travel with us.
All the best and take care. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending your company to all our family and friends advising them of your fantastic service and well organized tours. A wonderful, eye opening experience for all three of us.
Thank you again and I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
Regards and warm wishes,

Tour: Customized Thailand, Cambodia & Laos tour, May 2008 |
|

Hi Michael,
Thank you so much for help in planning and organizing our trip. We got back yesterday afternoon, safe and sound. This trip was really very good and everything worked out beautifully. The guide, Mr. Sarawut and the driver Mr. Nut in Thailand were exceptional and were kind and generous in their help to us in every way. Mr. Bounmy the guide in Luang Prbang was also very good. The guide, Mr. Sarack in Siem Reap and Mr. Senh in Phonm Penh were also good. It was an amazing trip. We saw and learnt many things.
We were very impressed with the scenery, people and food and temples of Thailand. Luang Prabang in Laos was something new for us and very memorable with seeing the morning walk of the Monks, and the excellent Night Market, the Baci ceremony and the Morning market and so much more. Mr. Marshall had wanted to see Angkhor Wat and that was the main reason for the trip. We found the scene and the moat around the Ruins very good. Phonm Penh was interesting and we learnt that they are working very hard as its only 10 years since the country of Cambodia has emerged from its troubles.
We very much enjoyed a Thai massage at the Pung Wan resort and everyone should have a Thai massage. Many thanks again, everything worked very well.

Hello Heather,
I am still in China.....just kidding. We came back last week and finally adjusted to Canadian time. The trip was FANTASTIC. Thank you so much for
organizing all papers, visas, all documents and information on time.
You did it exellent . It was... like last minutes trip.
We came from China more than happy. Did not expected that we will see so much.
We will go to see more China..... one day.
Hotels were excelent and planes from city to city were new and very comfortable.
We love Shanghai ...Nanging Road -and other shoppings.
Guilin was very relaxing and romantic nights. Whole city was nicely lighthed, and very warm city. Everywere crowds of young people walking on the streets till midnight. Like in Europe.
The only one thing is bad..... that the trip is over.
My memories... will not be for long time ...but will stay forever.
That was my best vacation .....so far.
See some pictures ...of us...
Best wishes,

Heather:
Everything went beautifully. We were very impressed with the tour leaders, the hotels and the food. It was very relaxing to leave all the details of travel to someone else.
The other tour members were very pleasant, and we made new friends. I highly recommend this trip, my husband, sons and I had one of the happiest Christmases we can remember. My youngest also had his 14th Birthday in Beijing, and we had a memorable Peking Duck Dinner. Additionally, one of the tour members son met them for this dinner (he works in Beijing) and brought his girlfriend who is a Chinese Opera star. She has toured in Europe. My son had his Happy Birthday song sung by her in English and Chinese!! What a memorable night. Thank you for everything.

My wife Sue Wheeler booked a tour to China with you last year. We returned home on Dec.26/07. I would just like to say you did a bang up job. It was great and I would not hesitate to book with you again. I have told anyone who asked that it was a great trip at very affordable prices for the average person.

Tour: Splendid China, September 22nd, 2007 |

Hi Heather,
We have made some comments about the trip.
Generally the guides were quite good, personable, knowledgeable, excellent English, and except for possibly one guide who was a little inexperienced, most went out of their way to ensure that we had excellent service throughout. Some went above and beyond and we have e-mailed CIT about those excellent representatives.
The Sichuan Opera in Chengdu was recommended by our guide and we paid extra for this and truly enjoyed the performance. I would suggest that others attend this as the setting at the teahouse was interesting as well.
This tour had a lot of interesting variety from the various cities, towns, Yangtze cruise, train to Tibet, side shows. We would highly recommend it. The service and connections were great, vehicles good, drivers were professional. We both enjoyed this trip immensely and did not want it to end. We are talking about going back to China to see more.
We definitely want to return and see even more of China.
Sincerely,
Deanna and Derek

I think I can speak for Aparna when I say that the trip was amazing. I didn't want to leave because I was enjoying it so much. The tour was very organized and run smoothly by the CITS tour leaders in China. The accommodations and meals exceeded all my expectations. The itinerary was perfect -- I am really happy we were able to book the package with the Yangtze River cruise. I feel like the value of our tour package was worth much more than the price we paid! Also I really appreciated your effort and courtesy in booking our flights and tour -- You made it a very easy and stress-free! I have spoken with many people about my trip and I have highly recommended your agency and the CITS tour group for any future trips to China.
Thank you!
