Arrive in Shanghai (Wednesday)
Welcome to Shanghai - the largest commercial and financial center of China. On arrival, you will be met by your friendly local tour guide and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2
Shanghai
We will have a full day city tour in Shanghai. Start the exploration form The Bund, a waterfront promenade lined with a mile-long of European buildings. Later, visit the small yet exquisite Yu Yuan Garden. After lunch, we will visit the marvelous Shanghai Museum. Its galleries contain world-class collections of ancient arts and artifacts. The Bronze Gallery is a must-see section. Shop on famous Nanjing Road & enjoy an exciting Acrobatic Show in the evening.[B/L/D]

Day 3
Shanghai/Kunming Flight
We take a morning flight to Kunming, China’s “Eternal Spring City”. Afternoon tour to Stone Forest & Jade Lake. The Stone Forest, one of China's most remarkable natural phenomena, consists of exceptionally beautiful limestone formations. Explore oddly-shaped peaks, waterfalls, caves and lakes. [B/L/D]

Day 4
Kunming/Lijiang Flight
Today, we fly to Lijiang (Shangri-La) (Brief introduction of Lost Horizon), the fairyland of minority areas described in a book "Lost Horizon". The whole city is all in ancient feature and rewarded by UNICON the city of cultural heritage. Afternoon tour to Black Dragon Pond, Dongba Museum, James Luck House - who was a famous American historian & geography explorer. He stayed here for over 18 years. Remains free for own exploration in the ancient town. Tonight enjoy ancient Dongba Naxi Ancient Music. [B/L/D]

Day 5
Lijiang
Today, we will see Jade Peak Temple, Baisha Minority Village & Ancient Wall Paintings, and reach to Mt. Jade Dragon Snow by cable car to grassland and forest next to the snow and glacier line. The Mt. Jade Dragon Snow is one of 10th world famous snow mountains but only one the human being has not climbed to the top yet. Everyone would respect its holiness. Remains of the day for own exploration in the ancient town. [B/L]

Lijiang/Zhongdian (Shangri-La) Overland
Morning Leave Lijiang for Zhongdian-“The Lost Horizon” along the ancient Tea-Horse Road, It is a beautiful 230KM drive via Tiger Jump Gorges. "The Ancient Tea-horse Road" was a commercial passage mainly for tea & horse trading between China and Tibet. Across the dangerous hills and rivers of Hengduan Mountain Range, in the wild lands and forests across "the Rooftop of the World", a mysterious ancient road winds and wonders. It is one of the most heart quaking roads on this planet. Afternoon, we visit Tibet Villages, and Tibetan homes then visit Napa Lake-a natural beauty of the moorland lake by snow-caped mountains blooming with thousand fragrant flowers. [B/L/D]

Shangri-La
The ancient town of Zhongdian is a largely Tibetan and Qiang settlement First built during the Southern Song Dynasty some eight centuries ago, it is a harmony land of temples, farming land, dwelling houses, flower lakes and peaceful life. Today, we visit Songzanlin Monastery, Zhongdian Ancient Town & Regional History Museum. [B/L/D]

Day 8
Shangri-La/Lhasa Flight
Morning flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to Lhasa city. Afternoon we will stay at hotel and adapt to the high altitude condition. Lhasa, the Capital of Tibet Autonomous Region while the same time an ancient city with a history of 1300 years, is a place where the traditions meet modernity, the religious blends secularity and a place where you see its past, future and present. Check in 5 star Yaluzhangbu Hotel, it is not a hotel alone, but a live museum of Tibetan culture as well. Remains for freshen up and adjust the higher plateau altitude. [B/L/D]

Lhasa
Morning visit Potala Palace. Potala Palace was the residence of successive Dalai Lama and Songtsan Gampo, the 34th Tibetan king. Today, you can see the tombs of former Dalai Lamas, and frescoes, murals and artwork. Morning visit Potala Palace. Afternoon visit the Sera Monastery and Norbuglinkha (The Jewel Park and Summer Palace for Dalai Lama). Sera Monastery is one of the three largest Gelukpa monasteries, where you can see the monks’ debating. Western Dinner & Culture Dance Show at Crazy Yak Restaurant. [B/L/SD]

Day 10
Lhasa
Then, we visit the Jokhang Monastery. Jokhang Monastery with its golden roofs was built in the 7th century where house the most valued Buddhist relic, Shakyamuni Buddha, which was brought to Tibet by Princess Wencheng. Strolling and shopping along the Barkhor Street, the oldest part of Lhasa city. Morning visit the Jokhank (Dazao) Monastery, and strolling and shopping along the Barskhor street. Later, we visit to a Tibet Hospital and a family house at the local community. Tibet Dinner at Great Yak Restaurant. [B/L/SD]

Day 11
Lhasa/Xi'ning Train
Begin our Supremacy Exploration by taking the Holy Roll Express Train. The Qinghai-Tibet railway, the world's highest, is a miracle in the railway construction history. About 960 kilometres of the railway are over 4,000 metres above sea level, with its most elevated sections reaching 5,072 metres above sea level. The railway, hailed as a landmark project in China's plans to develop its western regions, involves a total investment of 26.2 billion Yuan (US$3.16 billion). [B/L/D]   

 The Qinghai-Tibet Railway boasts a number of the world's "mosts":

  • It is the world's highest railway. Some 960 kilometers of its tracks are located 4,000 meters above sea level and the highest point is 5,072 meters.
  • It is the world's longest plateau railway, extending 1,956 kilometers from Qinghai's provincial capital, Xining, to Lhasa in Tibet. The newly completed Golmud-Lhasa section zigzags for 1,142 kilometers.
  • About 550 kilometers of the tracks run on frozen earth, the longest of any of the world's plateau railways.
  • Tanggula Railway Station is the highest railway station in the world at 5,068 meters above sea level.
  • Fenghuoshan Tunnel is the world's most elevated tunnel on frozen earth, at 4,905 meters above sea level.
  • Kunlun Mountain Tunnel is the world's longest plateau tunnel built on frozen earth, running 1,686 meters.
Upon its completion, the maximum train speed is designed to reach 100 kilometers per hour in the perm freeze areas, the world highest speed on frozen earth.

Xi'ning/Beijing Flight
Our train arrives in Xining in the morning. Afternoon city tour and visit the Warlord House of General Ma Bufang & Ethnic Museum, Xiguan Moslem Temple, It is one of the four largest mosques in northwest China. Then we take the later afternoon flight to Beijing. Welcome to Beijing-the capital of China and home to many wonders. On arrival, you will be met by your friendly local tour guide and transferred to your impressive 5 star hotel. [B/L]

Beijing
Today, we will walk across Tiananmen Square, the largest public square in the world and the symbolic center for all of China. We will then visit the magnificent Forbidden City. This complex, the largest and most intact conglomeration of ancient structures of the imperial palace ever built in the world, features more than 800 buildings with 9999 rooms, resplendent golden-glazed roofs, red lacquered pillars and vermilion walls. Afternoon, we will visit Summer Palace. The Summer Palace (Yiheyuan) in the northwestern suburb of Beijing was built in 1750, so far the best-preserved imperial garden in China, and was endorsed by the UNESCO in 1998 as a world cultural heritage site. As a paragon of Chinese gardens, this huge garden includes Longevity Hill, whose beauty is set off by a multitude of halls, kiosks and trees, and Kunming Lake, a vast man-made construction with water filled by a large reservoir north of Beijing. Beijing
A full day excursion to the Badaling Great Wall, it is one of the most amazing feats of human labor. The Great Wall is the most famous image of China throughout the world. It is the only man made object visible from the moon, and as one of the Eight Wonders of the world. It is a symbol of Chinese traditional culture and the pride of the Chinese nation. Later visit the Ming Tombs at Changling along the Sacred Way with giant marble figures and animals guarding the tomb area for deceased emperors of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644AD). 13 of the 16 Ming emperors have their tombs here. This is an attractive destination as much for the natural scenery of the area as for the tombs themselves. Enjoy the famous Peking Duck Dinner & Cultural Show in the evening. [B/L/SD]
